Peggy Ann Truax, 76, of Schenectady, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Peggy was the daughter of the late Charles Russell and Anna S. (McKenna) Cline. She was the devoted wife of Francis H. "Frank" Truax. Together they were married 50 years.
Loving mother of Katrina Truax and Eric F. Truax. Cherished grandmother of Ashley, Selena, Patrick and Braylee. Dearest sister of the late Charles Cline, Jr., the late William Thomas Cline and Maureen Dominski. Also survived by a nephew Kenji Cline and nieces Naomi Bowlin and Susan Dominski.
Born on December 20, 1941, in Albany, Peggy was a lifelong area resident and received her education locally. She was a graduate of Cardinal McCloskey High School class of 1959. For 27 years, Peggy was employed with the State of New York. She retired in 1993 from the Department of Education as a Senior Clerk. In her youth, during high school Peggy was a proud member of the library club, where she help set it up. She was also a secretary for her father's former Boy Scout troop. Peggy was very passionate about her family and raising her family. She enjoyed being the "second mom" to the neighborhood and having all of her children's friends at their home. The backyard was the neighborhood playground. Peggy loved animals, she was especially fond of the cardinal. She enjoyed traveling to destinations with her husband and family. Peggy always had the dream after retirement of traveling cross country with her husband Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Wednesday May 9th, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, where prayers will be offered at 12 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
