Penelope A. Hines

ROTTERDAM – Penelope "Penny" Schwab Hines, 57, of Rotterdam, returned to her heavenly home on May 10, 2010.
She was born and raised in Albany and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Geraldine Schwab. Penny had lived most of her adult life in Rotterdam. She worked as a nurse in Albany for ten years before working as a clerk for New York State Tax Department until 2002, due to illness.
Penny was predeceased on March 14, 2010 by her husband and best friend Paul F. Hines. She is survived by her loving children, Amber (John ) Letko of Sloansville and Bill (Amanda) Hines of Rotterdam. She is the sister of Gerald (Paula) Schwab of Rotterdam, Stanley Schwab of Hoosick Falls and Linda (Angela) Schwab of Rotterdam. Most of all she leaves the joy of her heart, her three precious grandchildren, Ian, Sydney and Jacob Letko all of Sloansville. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10 am to 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Saratoga National VA Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and at Penny's request, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 153 Nott Terrace, Schenectady, NY 12308 or the Companion Animal Placement Program (CAPP), 279 Troy Rd. Suite 9, Rensselaer, NY 12144, in memory of Penny Hines.
