COLONIE – Percy W. Woodard, 69, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 16, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Percy is survived by his loving wife of forty years, Joy (Shumway) Woodard; his sons, P. Wayne (Linda) of Schoharie, NY, Richard (Jannie) of South Carolina, Brian of Georgia, Wayne (Theresa) of Colonie Jason (Janine) of Colonie and his daughter, Candise (Lee) Thomas of Trenton, Canada. Percy is the brother of Charles (Deborah), Donald (the late Jackie) and Nellie (the late Floyd) Rowe. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Percy was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Hazel (Patterson) Woodard and his siblings, Elizabeth LaMountain and Nelson Woodard. He will be sadly missed by his canine companions.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Colonie.
