GUILDERLAND - Beloved son of the late Peter and Julia Andrus of Wayne, NJ, Peter peacefully passed on May 13, 2022 at the Our Lady of Mercy Care Center in Guilderland, NY.
Born on July 4, 1943, Peter studied psychology, and graduated top honors from John Hopkins and Albany Medical College and became a Board Certified Psychiatrist with a private practice in the Capital Region area for many years. In his retirement, Peter also became an adjunct professor at some of the Capital region's local junior colleges.
Peter enjoyed collecting and restoring vintage books and vacation trips to Saint Barthélemy.
He is survived by his former wife, Mary Andrus and her family.
Peter will be laid to rest at the Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Saddle Brook, NJ. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com
