Peter Berghela

March 14, 1962 — December 22, 2020

ALBANY - Peter Berghela, 58 of Albany entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 21, 2020 unexpectedly.

Peter was born and lived in Albany all his life. He graduated from Albany High School and went on to study at SUNY at Albany and earned a degree in Sociology which he used to work with the physically and intellectually disabled for over thirty years.

He was a kind, giving, hardworking, soft-spoken man. He truly enjoyed gardening and caring for his vehicles especially washing his car. He cherished the time he spent taking trips to Disneyworld and Niagara Falls with his wife and friends. Above all else what he loved most was serving the lord and being a witness to all he came in contact with. He was an avid prayer warrior and servant in the house of the Lord.

He was the beloved husband of Ginny Taber-Berghela. He was the devoted son of Carmine and Frances; son-in-law of Carol Taber. He was the cherished brother of Carmine (Bernadette), Nicholas (Deborah), Mark, Ramsis and Jason (Lenore), brother-in-law of Susan Snide. He is loved and will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.
