Peter Charles Riley, V

COLONIE- Peter C. Riley V., died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 11, 2012. He loved to help others and often went above and beyond expectations. Peter cherished family and friends and especially appreciated a good joke. His laugh was contagious, he had a warm smile, and his eyes always sparkled.

Peter was born in Albany, NY on September 4, 1952. He was the son of the late Peter C. Riley IV and Emilie Riley. Peter graduated with an AAS degree in electronic technology at SCC. He worked at Intermagnetics General Corp. Latham, NY, Super Steel Schenectady Inc., and Albatros Corp.

Peter is the loving husband of 39 years to Mary (Cavone) Riley. He is the beloved father to Peter Riley VI, Jennifer Riley, and Kristen Riley; proud grandfather of Anna Riley and Parker Vendlands; brother of Judith Little, Elizabeth Riley, Michael Riley, and Marilyn VonDollen.

Relatives and friends may call at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Friday from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11 am at St. Clare's Church in Colonie. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Glenmont.
