COLONIE – Peter E. Hulsopple, Jr. 70, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was born on July 22, 1941 in Albany and was the son of the late Peter Emerson and Agnes Kaufman Hulsopple. He worked as a meat packer for Tobin Meat Packing Co. in Colonie for 22 years until their closing and then worked as a printer for 15 years for HANYS. He was an avid fisherman and wood carver and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Shirley A. (Hendrickson) Hulsopple; his sons, Raymond W. (Kathleen) Lifite and John J. Lifite, both of Colonie; his grandchildren, Erin M. (Carl) Oropallo, Bonnie L. (Sean) Gramm, Nicole M. Lifite, and John P. Lifite; his great grandchildren, Trista N. and Alexander R. Polsinello; his two sisters and one brother, Patricia A. Rivers, Agnes Soules and Emerson Hulsopple, all of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Anna Dextraze and Irene E. Selke.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
