Peter L. Calhoun

COLONIE – Peter L. Calhoun, 44, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at his home. He was born in Albany and lived in Colonie for most of his life. Pete was a graduate of South Colonie Central High School. He worked in various local restaurants before starting his career in masonry work in the Albany area. Pete looked forward to vacationing at Ft. Myers Beach, FL. He will forever be remembered for having a smile on his face and always being respectful, kind, gentle and polite.


Pete is the beloved son of Linda R. Dunn of Colonie and the late Peter Calhoun. He is the devoted brother of Tami L. Calhoun of Colonie and the late Tina M. Dunn. Pete is the uncle of Emily Rose Zeller, whom he adored. Also surviving is his loving and dear friend, Vicky O'Brien and many aunts, uncles and cousins.


Funeral services will be Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Peter L. Calhoun.
