COLONIE – Peter S. Sivaslian, Jr., 73, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, June 11, 2012. Born in Albany, he was the first son of the late Peter S. and Alice M. Lutey Sivaslian, Sr. He had many businesses in the Albany area including Pete's Cash Superette , Holden's Market and more recently, The Little Supermarket in Rotterdam. Peter will never be forgotten and was loved by all, including his many friends who were blessed to know him.
Peter leaves behind his beloved life partner of over twenty years, Valerie Potts to cherish his memory. He is the devoted father of Charles Scott (Lisa) Sivaslian and the late Peter S. Sivaslian, III and stepfather of Thomas Hood. Peter is the cherished grandfather of Monique Balint, Charles and Nina Sivaslian, his "precious angel", Olivia Hood and Devin Corrigan. He is the loving brother of Alice M. Crisorio, Charles W. Sivaslian and the late David F. Sivaslian and Anna E. Wolfinger. Peter also leaves behind his special aunt, Mary DerGurahian and many nieces, nephews, cousins and the extended family of Valerie. Peter was predeceased by his wife, Annamae Lauer Sivaslian.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
