Peter S. Stricos

MURRELS INLET, SC – Peter S. Stricos, 63, departed this world suddenly on Saturday, July 16, 2011, to join his family that passed before him. Born in Albany on October 23, 1947, Peter was the son of Antoinette "Toni" Stricos and the late Stelio P. "Ted" Stricos.
In addition to his mother Toni, Peter is survived by his sister, Margaret Desmond; his brother-in-law, Carl Desmond and his beloved and cherished nephew, Christopher Desmond, who he was so very proud of. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Peter graduated from Colonie Central High School, Albany Business College, Husson College in Bangor Maine and earned his masters from the College of St. Rose. He retired from Albany County Nursing Home in 2007 and moved to South Carolina where he made many new friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends here and in South Carolina.
A celebration of Peter's life will be held on Tuesday, August 9th at 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m.
