Peter D. Seifridsberger

Poestenkill- Peter D. Seifridsberger passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at the age of 86 after a brief illness. He was a loving father and grandfather and a positive role model for his family. He will be greatly missed.

Peter was born in 1935 in Troy to the late Peter J. Seifridsberger and Josephine Moon. He was an Army veteran, and retired from his decades-long careers as a machinist for the Watervliet Arsenal and Hannaford Bros. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and taught wilderness survival at the Bailey Mountain Fish and Game Club.

Peter is predeceased by his beloved daughter Tina, as well as his siblings Paul, Ronald, Gerald, and Joseph.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara D. (Timmons) Seifridsberger; his children, David, Curt (Kara), and Tanya; his siblings Josephine McGuirk, Clara Tucker, Daniel, and John; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a long list of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his dog, Snuggles or "Puppy", whom he loved dearly.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Maureen McIntyre who has been a source of great support.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10am on Friday January 28, 2021. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 2150 Central Ave, Schenectady, NY 12304.
