Albany - Peter J. Spulnik, Jr. 71, passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on Thursday, December 21, 2017 surrounded by his family.
Born on December 12, 1946 in Albany, the son of the late Peter J. and Eleanor Sway Spulnik. Pete graduated from Colonie Central High School, Class of 1966.
Pete proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1966-1969. Pete was a manager at Maiden Lane Parking Garage for 27 years. In 2013, Pete retired after eight years of being a truck driver for John A. Mott Inc. Pete was an avid bowler, bowling at various bowling alleys with various leagues.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Willie Peacock Spulnik; sister, Susan Fitzgerald (Jim); cousins, Marion Brisson (Bob), Rosalie Blum and Denise Sepos; nieces, Erica and Taylor Fitzgerald. Pete was predeceased by his sister, Rosemarie Spulnik.
Funeral services for Pete will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be held prior to the service on Thursday starting at 4pm. A private burial will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
