GUILDERLAND – Philip C. Curley, 63, of Guilderland , passed away suddenly on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Willimantic, CT and is the son of the late Joseph M. and Jean C. Curley.
A longtime restaurateur, Phil owned and operated P's & Q's restaurant in White Plains for several years. He operated the restaurant at Albany Municipal Golf Course and later worked as deputy comptroller for the County of Albany. Phil was a longtime member of the Mendelssohn Club in Albany and a member of the Albany Elks and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He had a tremendous sense of humor and a special love for animals. Phil was a music enthusiast and enjoyed challenging sudoku puzzles.
He is the beloved husband of 36 years to Donna L. Curley. He is the devoted father of Kimberly (Jon) Urquhart. Phil is the brother of Joseph (Eleanor) Curley, Caroline Curley (Mike Caplan), Mary Ellen (Steve) Bernhoft and the late John Curley. He is the brother in law of Karen Curley, Debbie (Leon) Christakos and Beth Hurley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
