GUILDERLAND – Philip C. Sperry, 70, of Guilderland, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Born in Gloversville, he was the son of the late Page and Irma Sperry. Mr. Sperry was the Director of Human Resources for the New York State Dept. of Education at the time of his retirement in 1991. After retirement, he worked on the Professional Development Program for Rockefeller College, was a member of the American Arbitration Association, an Executive Director of ESCOT and was the secretary and on the Board of Directors for R.P.E.A. Mr. Sperry was an active alumnus of Syracuse University. Philip is the beloved husband of 48 years to Ann M. Sperry, the devoted father of Deborah Sperry Ineson and her husband, Robert Ineson and Sheryl Sperry, and the cherished grandfather of Andrew and Maureen Ineson. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Gwen Sperry, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Albany. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, 235 Lark Street, Albany, NY 12210 in memory of Philip C. Sperry.
