Phillip Darmetko
October 6, 1953 — December 21, 2023
Troy- Phillip Darmetko, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 21, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Julian and Stella Darmetko.
After leaving High School, Phillip enlisted in the United States Marines where he was stationed in Vietnam where he served proudly until his honorable discharge. Phillip went on to work as a OR Tech at Samaritan Hospital until his retirement.
Phillip enjoyed spending time with his family and gaming after his retirement.
Phillip is survived by his sisters, Jane M. Darmetko of Cohoes, Phyllis Petzler of Grawn, MI, Rosanne (Michael) Kentris of Berne, Catherine Darmetko of Troy, Janet Darmetko of Albany, Paula Burr (Charles) of Cambridge; his brothers, William (Cheryl) Darmetko of Ballston Spa, and John (Susan) Darmetko of Troy. Having a close relationship with his nephews, Edward (Kathy) Darmetko West Leyden, NY Robert Darmetko,Sr (Crissy) Greensboro,NC; niece, Pamela Darmetko (Shawn) Clifton Park; and his gaming buddy and great nephew, Robert Darmetko Jr of Troy. Phillip is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Phillip is predeceased by brother in law, Michael Petzler; niece, Jennifer Petzler of Grawn, MI; and nephew, William Darmetko Jr of Ballston Spa.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
