COLONIE, NY – Phillip J. Rohloff, 73, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret Rohloff. Phil has resided in Colonie for all of his life. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. Phil retired after 33 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a communicant of St. Clare's Church in Colonie. Phil is the beloved husband of 37 years to Joan A. (McCumber) Rohloff. He is the devoted father of Phillip J. Rohloff, Jr. of Lake George, Brian (Deanna)Rohloff of Valley Falls, Mark (Connie) Rohloff of Guilderland, Eric (Robyn Mattison) Rohloff of Mechanicville, Mary Parravani of Bridgeport, CT, Patrick (Carole) Rohloff of East Greenbush and Allen Rohloff of Colonie. Phil is the cherished grandfather of Jessica, Brianna, Nicole, Jacob, Brandon, Kylie, Katalina and the late Alexander and Zachary.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
