OLONIE-Phillip J. Pagliccia Sr., 83, of Colonie passed away on Wednesday August 8, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was born in Albany, the only child of Pietro and Concetta Crispo Pagliccia. Phillip was predeceased in 2002 by his beloved wife of 52 years, Clara DeMarco Pagliccia.
He was a proud veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII. His service to his country took him all over the world serving as an Aviation machinist's mate, 2nd class Petty Officer. Phil was a longtime employee in the automotive industry where he worked in several capacities at Orange Motors and more recently with Goldstein Chrysler Jeep, from where he retired. He was an avid New York Yankee fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends at Colonie Seniors Beltrone Living Center. Phil truly enjoyed spending time with his loving family, especially his grandson Andrew, whom he was so proud of.
He is the beloved father of Phillip J. Pagliccia Jr (Patricia Ballmes) of Schenectady and Theresa C. Sally and her husband Michael of Cohoes.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at Albany Memorial Hospital, Chris Carey of Colonie Seniors and Phil's neighbor, Wayne Herrington for all of their kindness and unwavering support.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
