COLONIE, NY – Philomena Lanci, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Teresian House. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Pacella. She was a resident of Colonie for most of her life. Philomena worked for the New York State Dept. of Health for many years. She liked reading classic literature, listening to the opera, and enjoyed singing. She was a communicant of St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Philomena was the beloved wife of the late Camillo Lanci. She is the loving sister of Carmela (the late August) Grieco, Antoinette (the late Anthony) Lanci, Vincent (Frances) Pacella and the late Mary (Warren) Gordon, Nunzio (Elsie) Pacella and Anna (Richard) Link. She is the cherished aunt of Genevieve Wiech who looked over and cared for her Aunt Min for many years, and her nephews, Anthony Lanci and Michael and Richard Link. Also surviving are several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Infant of Prague Chapel at Teresian House. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Teresian House. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Teresian House, 200 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Philomena Lanci.
