Phyllis A. Mclaughlin

COLONIE – Phyllis A. McLaughlin, 89, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2009 at her home.
Phyllis was born on March 10, 1920 in Everett, Mass. and was the daughter of the late John S. and Florence E. (Buxton) Bassnett. She enjoyed crafts and knitting, was an avid reader and loved the ocean.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Judy and Bob Johnson of Colonie; her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Candy McLaughlin of Naples, Fla. and Thomas and Fay Ann McLaughlin of Burlington, Mass., seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. McLaughlin and Phillip H. Holman.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 918, Schenectady, NY 12301 in memory of Phyllis A. McLaughlin.
