Grafton- Phyllis A. Collins, 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born August 12, 1954 in Stamford, NY the daughter of Edward and Shirley Collins of Ft. Edward.
Phyllis worked for Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department for 34 years. She retired in February of 2012. Phyllis loved her family and friends deeply. Phyllis would always go above and beyond for anyone who was lucky enough to know her. She was an amazing cook that loved family gatherings as well as shopping. She loved her camps "Heaven" and "Almost Heaven". Phyllis often vacationed at the Ocean with her family as it was her favorite place to be. She will be missed more than words could ever say by everyone that loved her.
In addition to her parents Phyllis is survived by the love of her life Ellis Nelson Jones Jr. of Grafton, and their "spoiled puppy" Daisey Mae. Her siblings, Thomas Collins (Dawn), Brenda Flack (David), Janice Taylor, Scott Collins (Heidi). She is also survived by her step children, Darcy (David) Nutter , Fay (Ronald) Wagar , Terri (Bill McKeon) Marpe , Ellis Nelson (Lynn) Jones, lll , Eric Jones and Judith (Richard) Gross , she is also survived by several family members including, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
