LOUDONVILLE – Phyllis Massimo Aidala, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at Northwoods Rehabilitation Center in Troy. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Massimo. Phyllis worked for the Wellington Hotel for 32 years before her retirement. She will always be remembered for her great love of animals. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John Massimo, her two sisters, Carrie Alger and Theresa Port and her close companion of thirty years, Peter Tanski. Phyllis is survived by her sister, Angie Barthelmas. She is the aunt of Marie Lehman and Theresa Couser. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery, Albany. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Phyllis M. Aidala.
