MENANDS- Phyllis Sherley Bucher, 85, of Menands, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Jersey Shore, PA and was the daughter of the late Hugh M. and Grace Houghton Sherley. Phyllis graduated from Albany High School and Mildred Elly Business Institute. She was employed by Equitable Life Assurance Society as an assistant to the manager. She later worked for John G. Meyers in Albany.
Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years R. Donald Bucher; her daughter Diane E. Hart and her husband Philip of Menands. She is the sister in law of Jane Turner and aunt of Robert and Roy Turner.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memorys Garden.
