ALBANY – Phyllis Harmon Schmidbauer, 87, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Albany to Irene A. Warner and Frank H. Harmon. Phyllis was married to the late Joseph M. Schmidbauer on October 16, 1942 and was mother to the late Gary J. Schmidbauer. She was a graduate of Albany High School and Mildred Elley Business School. She retired in 1979 as a Head Data Entry Operator for the New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance in Albany. Phyllis is survived by her daughter-in-law, Tracey Carpinello Schmidbauer of West Sand Lake, her grandson, Robert A. (Dawn) Schmidbauer, Sr. of Loudonville, her granddaughter, Kathy (Casey) Noeth of Atlanta, GA and her great-grandchildren, Robert Jr., Christina, Amber, Jessica and Samantha. Also surviving are her dear friends, Bret and Toni McIntyre along with their children, Josh, Devin and Alex.
Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 11:30 to 1:30 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Phyllis H. Schmidbauer.
