After a brief illness Phyllis A. Thompson departed this life on January 18, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Evelyn (Thompson) and Sylvester Lightsey.
She leaves to mourn her death Doretha (Jerry) Tolliver, David (Willie) Lumpkin Jr, Sylvester (Duke) Lumpkin, Jaritia (Lance) Ray and son-in-law Walter Ross. Phyllis also left 16 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Frances Ross.
A Celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Albany Elks 49, 25 South Allen Street, Albany, NY 12208.
