Prentiss Lee Hickson, Jr.

Troy- Prentiss Lee Hickson, Jr., 43, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 1, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the Prentiss, Sr. and late Katherine Hickson. Prentiss was the devoted husband to the Kenyotta S. Arrington. They were married 11 years.

After graduating from high school, Prentiss received a Culinary degree and was a chef for many years.

Prentiss enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved cooking for them. He had a fond love of music and telling jokes. Prentiss will always be remembered for the amazing stories that he told. He was a community activist aka the PLK movement. He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of meeting him, becoming fast friends with all.

In addition to his wife and parents, Prentiss is survived by his son, Izreal Hickson; step-kids, Izel, Ke'omari, ke'siya, Kenjahiya aka Tutu, and Spirit aka Oso; sisters, Wendy and Stashia; brother Jermaine Hickson; brother-in-law, Warren; mother-in-law, Sabrina (Alfred) Leigh; sister-in-laws, Shirley, Brianna, Daswaya; and many many friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, New York on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a funeral service at 12:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.
