Rajwattie Sanichar

Schenectady- Rajwattie "Ruby" Sanichar, 53, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2007 at home surrounded by her family. Born in Guyana she was the daughter of Sanichar Budhu and Ramdai Ramlagan. Ruby had worked for Kingsway Nursing Home for three years and also the Progressive Nursing home for 1 ½ years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints. Ruby enjoyed TV shows such as Deal or No Deal and wheel of Fortune and her hobbies included watching Indian movies, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
Rajwattie was the wife of Wilfred Benedict Mendonca for 12 years and the mother of Michael, Christina, Simone, Vanessa and Kim, all of Schenectady. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters; Frederick Seepersaud, Buddy Boy, Ramjit Budhu, Rookmin Sanichar and Dolly Ishram, her 8 grandchildren; Eyon, Brandon, Tiffany, Nicholas, Saif, Julius, Mariah and Saeed and her 48 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, at 12:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of latter Day Saints, 52 Blue Barnes Road, Rexford, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
