Mulberry, Florida- Ralph Collen, 80, formerly of Feura Bush, NY, passed away peacefully at his home on April 3, 2016.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife Jeanette (La Montain) Collen of 45 years. His children, Cheryl Savoie, Linda (Paul) Somersall, Frank (Bonita) Canceleno, and Donald (Jill) Collen. Grandchildren, Lisa, Danny, Danielle (Kyle), Justin, Matthew, Sarah, Tara (Daniel), Alyssa, and Jeremy. Great Grandchildren, Baylee, Melody, Caleb, Xavier, Isaiah, Denver, Noah and Bryannah. As well as Uncles and Aunts and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, John P. and Ada (Byder) Collen as well as all of his siblings.
He was born and raised in Albany, NY. He was a co-owner of a local printing and rubber stamp business for over 20 years, and was retired for the last 15 years. He was an avid baseball follower and loved the local sports teams.
Ralph was a member of Trinity Christian Church in Colonie for over 30 years, as well as a board member and treasurer for many years. Ralph was also a member of First Assembly in Colonie before moving to Florida with his wife Jeanette.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a trained marksman and received The Good Conduct Medal.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 9:00 to 11:00am with a memorial service at 11:00am at New Comer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
