Loudonville- Ralph J. Laver, 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Ralph was the son of the late John and Susan Laver and the devoted husband of 58 years to the late Lucy Laver.
Ralph was a World War II Veteran, a past member of the Shaker Road Fire Department and the Zaloga Post. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, a good meal, storytelling and Racino. He was most proud of his vegetable garden and looked forward to breakfast with his McDonald's buddies.
Ralph is survived by his children, Robert (Carolyn), Donna (Matthew) Zadlo, Susan (Joseph) Andriano; grandchildren, Robert, Susan, Brett, Erin, and Greg; great grandchildren, Jenna, Rose, Sophia, Spencer and Jackson; and loving nephews and his special friend, Jerry White.
Ralph was predeceased by his brother, William.
Calling hours will be held at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Pius X Church at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
