Colonie- Ralph P. Mischitelli, 90, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on February 1, 2022.
He was born in Albany on March 21, 1931 to Leonardo and Antoinetta (Canistro) Mischitelli. Ralph graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and continued on to Maritime College. He enlisted in the US Navy where he served as a Lieutenant Commander.
He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at the Watervliet Arsenal over 50 years. Ralph was a true family man. He enjoyed yearly vacations with his family in Ocean City, NJ and Las Vegas with his wife and friends.
Ralph is predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Joyce Mischitelli.
Ralph is survived by his loving children Annette Thorpe, Ralph (Carrie) Mischitelli, Todd (Nancy) Mischiteli,
Jennifer (Edwin) Serian, Cindy Mischitelli and Wayne Ragone, his grandchildren Jason (Michelle), Mitchell and Brent (Joscelyn) Lecuyer, Brandon Mischitelli and Donny Mischitelli, Zachary Valentina, Megan and Bryan Serian and his great grandsons Tyler and Chase Lecuyer.
The family would like to thank "Ralph's Angels" who gave their unwavering love to him over the last few years.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY 12205. A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Foundation, 310 S. Manning Blvd, Albany 12208.
