Latham- Ralph T. Murray, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 after a long courageous battle with Parkinsons. Born in Union City, NJ he was the son of the late Helen and Francis Murray. Ralph is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carole K. Murray.
Ralph was employed with the D&H Railroad for 30 years and then went on to work for the Town of Colonie for 11 years. Ralph and his wife and family enjoyed traveling the world and national parks. He also loved basketball especially the Siena Saints. Ralph was a big NY Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Knicks fan.
Ralph is survived by his seven children; Kathleen Wilson (John), John Murray (Jackie), James Murray, Patricia Murray, Ralph Murray Jr., Helen Garling, and Ann Murray (Carl Mai). He is also survived by his 18 grandkids and 11 great grandkids.
He will also be missed by his brother in law James Walker (Catherine) and sister in law Ann Murray.
He is predeceased by his granddaughter Janis Murray and his brother Francis Murray, sister Mary Lavin and his brother in law Paul.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Capital District Rescue Mission, 259 South Pearl St. Albany, NY 12202.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at hospice at Samaritan Hospital and the staff at the Eddy Heritage House in Troy for the love and care given to Ralph and his family.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road Loudonville, NY 12211. Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery.
