Ramon M. Maldonado

Ramon M. Maldonado, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at home. Born October 11, 1947 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, Ray was the son of Ramon S. Maldonado and Marcelina (Rivera) Maldonado.

Ramon is survived by his wife, Linda, daughter, Judith, son, Jose Luis, Step-Son, Brian, and Granddaughter, Makayla. He is also survived by his siblings, Rose, Albert, Maria, Maggie, Charlie, Nancy, Marc, Peter, Paul, and Bernadette. He was predeceased by his sister, Judy. He is survived by his many nieces and his nephews.

Ray was generous to a fault. His happiness came from helping others and feeding them the delicious food he loved to cook. He enjoyed gardening and especially enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with others. He loved his friends and neighbors.

Ray especially enjoyed the love, and light, of his life, his granddaughter, Makayla.

Ray was one of a kind and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Ambrose, Church, 347 Loudon Road, Latham, NY 12110 with viewing 9:30 - 10:30 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Ambrose Church. Burial will follow the mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY 12309.

Donations can be made to The Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205 who brightened up Ray's days and provided excellent care.
