Clifton Park – Raymond A. Belensz, 81, of Clifton Park, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center after a long illness.
He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late John and Katherine Belensz.
Ray is a US Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He was employed with Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in West Milton and Niskayuna for forty years. He worked in several capacities at KAPL, most recently as Procurement Specialist, retiring in 1987. Ray will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren.
He is the beloved husband of 55 years to Helen Delewski Belensz. He is the devoted father of Janet Cromer (Michael) and Alan Belensz (Louise). He is the cherished grandfather of Katie, Leah, Alex and Maggie. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 am at Newcomer-Cannon Funeral Home. 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
