Raymond D. Turski

ROTTERDAM- Raymond R. Turski, 92, of Rotterdam, passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Schenectady and was the son of the late Stanley and Helen Turski.
Raymond served in the US Air Force during WWII. He was an accountant with the General Electric Company for over forty years, retiring in 1980. He was avid skier, golfer and enjoyed college basketball and his grandson's baseball games. Ray and Loretta enjoyed traveling all over the world. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Loretta Turski; his siblings, Eugene Turski and Clara Urban; his son in law Joseph Gold and his nephew Thomas Turski.
Ray is the devoted father of Rose M. Gold of Rotterdam. He is the grandfather of Rich (Rachel) Gold, Daniel (Sheri) Gold and Joseph (Rose) Gold. He is the great grandfather of Lisa (Josh) Johnson and Brett (Kristen) Gold. He is the uncle of Ron (Janice) Turski, Ken Turski, Rev. Carl Urban and the late Arlene Frederick.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 10:00 at St. Gabriel's Church, Rotterdam where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. There will be no calling hours. Interment will follow the Mass in St. Adalbert Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Schenectady City Mission, P.O. Box 760, Schenectady, NY 12301 in memory of Raymond R. Turski.
