Clifton Park- Raymond E. Peek, Jr. passed away on June 7, 2015 at Saratoga Hospital. He was 89 years old.
The son of the late Raymond E. and Ruth (Ward) Peek, Sr. Ray was born on October 22, 1925 in Schenectady, NY. Ray was educated in Albany and Beverly, MA Schools. He served his country in the US Navy during World War II. While serving Ray was stationed on 4 different ships in both the European and Asiatic Theatres. His decorations include the WWII Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with 1 star. Ray, along with his wife Ann, owned and operated Capitaland Taxi since 1969.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ann B. Peek; his children: Bret, Eric (Allyson), Brian (Sue), Ward, Leslie (Richard); 15 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister Judith Biernicki and his nephew Peter.
In addition to his parents Ray was predeceased by his daughter Christine Fitzgerald and his brother Ward.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on June 11, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Burial with military honors will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albany.
