Raymond F. Esopi

GUILDERLAND - Raymond F. Esopi, 90, of Guilderland passed away on Sunday June 5, 2011 at Julie Blair Nursing Home. He was born in East Greenbush and was the son of the late Lorenzo and Filomena Esopi. Ray had resided in Rensselaer County for most of his life.
Ray served in the US Marine Corp during WWII. He was employed with Operating Engineers Local 106 in Albany for many years before his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Robinson Esopi , his grandson Todd M. Pianowski and his siblings, Frank, Fred, Clara and Helen.
Ray is survived by his daughter, Patricia Pianowski; his grandson Kyle Pianowski and former son in law, Ronald Pianowski. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Mary Sanchez who cared for Ray during his illness. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer. Memorial contributions may be made to NENY Alzheimer's Association, Pine West Plaza, Building 4 Suite 405, Washington Ave Ext.
