Raymond G. Clark, 89, passed away Saturday October 3, 2009 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
He was born in Albany, son of the late Raymond C. and Anna Mae (Meegan) Clark and was a lifelong capital district resident. After graduating from Albany High, he served in the US Army from 1941 to 1945 with the 38th Engineer Regiment. After WW II he worked for GE retiring from the Steam Turbine Division in 1983. Raymond was a member of an Albany VFW, Guilderland Elks and Masonic Guttenburg Lodge # 0737. He was predeceased by his wives Gloria M. (Sabey) Clark and Dorothy M. (Groesbeck) Clark, and his son Gary E. Clark.
He is survived by his sons: Richard P. (Carolyn) Clark of Chelmsford, England and Raymond J. "Jack" (Kathleen) Clark, grandchildren: Todd J. (Shelley) Clark, Tristan R. Dobson, Kyle E. Clark, Dominic R. Clark and Matthew J. (Jamie) Clark, great-grandchildren: Collin T. and Madison E. Clark, and former wife Marion E. (Beard) Jablonowski of Nailsworth, England.

The funeral service will be Friday 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.NewcomerAlbany.com
