Clifton Park- Raymond W. Haupt, 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 15, 1955 in Albany, a son of Joyce Miller Haupt and the late Raymond J. Haupt. Ray is a graduate of Albany High School, class of 1972. Ray was a proud retired Veteran of the United States Navy Seabees. Once retired, Ray went on to work at Albany Radiator and Lowes.
Ray was an avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and camp; his home away from home was at Union Falls Pond in the Adirondacks. He would often go camping at Warrensburg Travel Park, where his campfire was burning day and night for all to enjoy. Most of all, Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be greatly missed by all.
Ray is survived by his loving family, beloved wife, Michele Ploof Haupt; children, Carrie Lewis (Dan),Kristen Chrzanowski (Zack) and Raymond Haupt; sister, Diane McDonald (Jeff); brother, Paul Haupt (Christina); grandchildren, Hunter, Alexis, Dustin, Christopher and Kaylee.
Calling hours for Ray will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 2pm until 5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, where a service will be held at 4pm. Burial with military honors will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery on Monday, April 23, 2018 at 10:30am
