COLONIE- Raymond Herrmann, 83, of Colonie, passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2007 at the Stratton VA Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Jacob and May Mary Lorenz Herrmann.
Ray was a graduate of Albany High School and proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a self employed carpenter. Ray enjoyed his role as a starter at the Town of Colonie Golf course where he made many friends. He was Past Master of Evening Star Lodge and a member of the Willetta Chapter of the Eastern Star. Ray was a lifetime member of the Polish American Citizens Club. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Kircher Herrmann.
Ray is the beloved father of Patricia Herrmann, Shawn Sager and her husband David, Craig Herrmann and his wife Gloria all of Colonie. He is the brother of Alice Charon, Robert B. Herrmann and the late Edward, Jacob and June Herrmann and Anna Mae Lanza. He is the cherished grandfather of Craig (Teri) Herrmann, Robyn (Daniel) LaRose, Sarah Herrmann, Jyl Sager, Michael Sager, Jessica and Matthew Herrmann. He is the great grandfather of Alexis LaRose and Katherine Herrmann. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 9:30 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 2 Shaker El, Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
