Raymond W. Lifite Sr., 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters, with his loving wife by his side. Ray was the son of the late Raymond and Marie (Metz) Lifite. He was the devoted husband, of over 55 years to Donna Lifite.
Ray proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War.
Ray worked for many years, with his two brothers as a meat cutter with Tobin Packing until they closed in 1979.
He enjoyed gardening with his wife, listening to music, taping his favorite movies and spending time with his family and friends. Ray cherished his wife Donna and she was the love of his life.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings; Leona Froelich, Lorraine Perone, William and John Lifite.
Raymond is survived by his wife Donna. He is also survived by his two sons and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Tuesday February 2, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Memory Gardens, Albany, NY.
Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements.
Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
The family would like to thank the care givers with Community Hospice for all of the compassion given to Ray and Donna.
