Raymond Rasmussen

LOUDONVILLE-Raymond M. Rasmussen, 80, of Loudonville, passed away on Tuesday December 5, 2006 at St. Peters Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Brooklyn and was the son of the late Bertin and Annie Rasmussen. Ray served in Japan with the US Army during WWII.
Mr. Rasmussen enjoyed a distinguished thirty eight years career with the New York State Police, retiring as 1st Deputy Superintendent. Among his many accolades, he was most proud of his many loyal friends and colleagues that he cherished along the way.
Ray is the beloved husband of fifty five years to Ann L Rasmussen. He is the devoted father of Sharon Rasmussen, Donald (Chrissie) Rasmussen, Barbara Rasmussen and Kristine (Ethan) Hartenberg. He is the brother of Helen Bennett. Papa Ray to Bryan, Matthew, Ringo and Ella.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Cemetery, Loudonville. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 8 pm at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Memorys Garden, Colonie. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2 Shaker El, Loudonville, NY 1221 or Rensselear County ARC, 79 102nd Street.
