Raymond L. Slingerland

Raymond L. Slingerland, 78, of North Albany, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Albany Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Ray was the son of the late James and Phillis (Bucci) Slingerland.
Ray was the devoted husband of over 48 years to Leonora T. "Nornie" (Brady) Slingerland.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with his family.
Ray is survived by his wife Nornie and children Alyce (Tom) Wessels and Earl DuBray. He is the cherished "Poppy" of Sam (Judy) Wessels, Benjamin Wessels, Mikayla DuBray and Joshua DuBray. He is also survived by his great granddaughter Olivia Wessels and many close family members.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 181 Troy Schenectady Road Watervliet, NY 12189 on Tuesday August 1, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart 33 Walter Street, Albany, NY. 12204 on Wednesday August 2, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204 in Ray's memory.
