ALBANY –After a long illness Rebecca M. Gaskin, went to be with the LORD on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Rebecca is survived by her only daughter Marcella Allen (Aaron), granddaughters Amber and Adrienne Allen; great-granddaughter Ariana Tesheira; brother Thomas Williams (Vivian); sister Novella Albea (James); nephew/son Gary Williams, and BFF Sister Jean Josey, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Rebecca is predeceased by her mother, Mary L. Williams; father Edward Staten; sister Alberta Teabout; brothers; Williard Williams, Edward Williams, Curtis Williams, and Clarence Teabout. Special thanks to the staff at AMCH and the Hospice Staff at St. Peter's Inn for their care and compassion.
Services will be Fri., May 6, 2011, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 172 North Allen Street. Calling hours 11:00 – 1:00, Service 1:00 pm. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
