Regina A. Lindsey, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Ellis Hospital with her family by her side. Jean was born in Mechanicville to the late Elmer and Agnes (Cute) Cowen.
She was educated in Mechanicville and later attended Berkshire Business School in MA. Jean worked for General Electric and later worked in Ellis Hospital. In 1942, she married Fred "Ray" Lindsey, Jr. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and Rosary in Scotia, she was also active in Girl Scouts.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Ray; her sister Helen and her brothers, Bud and George.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina (Rich) Diorio and Deborah (Rick) Pross; she is the cherished grandmother of six, great grandmother of eleven and also survived by a large extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on January 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, Scotia. A calling hour will precede the Mass from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
