WATERVLIET – Regina M. Cusack, 77, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2005 at the Julie Blair Nursing Home.
Regina was born on March 6, 1928 and was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary F. McMahon Cranney Sr. She graduated from St. Brigid's School in Watervliet and Vincentian Institute in Albany.
Regina was the proprietor of Gina's Beauty Salon in Watervliet for over 20 years. She also worked for many years as a bank teller for the National Commercial Bank at the North Albany and Waterford branches and was a very caring home health aid provider for a number of years.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing piano and cruise traveling. She was a former member of the Watervliet Elks Club Ladies Auxiliary and St. Brigid's Church.
Regina is survived by two daughters, Eileen A. (Gordon) Henry of Colonie and Colleen A. Russell of Malta; 5 grandchildren, Matthew and Brent Henry, Amie Walsh and Andrew and Brad Russell; 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William J. Cranney Jr. and a sister, Rosemary Okrepkie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. from New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Road, Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Memory's Garden.
