Regina Raponi, 76, of Colonie passed away, July 4, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Regina was born on August 2, 1947 to Rosemary and Carl Patricelli, the eldest of three. Regina was born and educated in Watervliet, NY. She graduated from nursing school at HVCC in 1967 where she met her BFF, Elizabeth. Regina later met her husband Angelo and married in 1971. Regina and Angelo shared 45 years of marriage prior to Angelo’s passing.

Regina was a nurse for 40 years, her last positions being in education which was her passion. Regina was a member of St. Clare’s Church in Colonie and extremely active in her parish from being a parish nurse to an RCIA leader.

Regina was well known for her deep faith, love of being with her family (especially daily phone calls), reading, a meal at the Blue Ribbon, going to the movies (later watching on tv) and visiting the rose gardens.

Regina is predeceased by her husband Angelo, her mother, and sister Nancy.

Regina is survived by her son Christopher (Sara), daughter Angela (Bob), son Timothy (Andi), daughter Theresa (Dustin); her beloved grandchildren Gigi, Isabelle, Vivi, Maya, Max, Zach, Alex and Ben; her brother Charles (Lyn), brother in law Peter(Chris) and sister in law Lucy (Clarence); so many much loved nieces and nephews; her cherished friends and her faithful feline friend Spice.

Regina’s family wish to thank wholeheartedly all the amazing nurses that cared for her, especially VNA and Hospice.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a Mass being said for Regina at St. Clare’s or a donation to Community Hospice.
