September 13, 1930 — March 10, 2022
Secure in the comfort her faith provided, Regina Riel, born in Troy, 91 years ago, entered eternal rest on March 10, 2022 surrounded by her family, peacefully with a smile on her face.
Regina is predeceased by her cherished husband, Don, her beloved six sisters and her dear nephews and nieces.
Her devoted twin, Jean Bufe, her adoring daughter, Deborah and her loving son in law, Mark survive her.
A true pioneer of organic foods and green living, Reggie carved a path and understanding of better nutrition for many. In 2006 she retired from the Bouquet & Hospitality Department of the Americana Hotel.
Regina tended her family, her pets, friends, gardens and community with love, grace and joy everyday of her life.
A Mass will be on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of Assumption, Latham.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Regina are welcome to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
