Regis R. Gagnon, 68, passed away suddenly, Tuesday July 21, 2009 at home in Colonie.
He was born on October 22, 1940 in Brunswick, Maine and is the son of Cecile (Pinette) Gagnon and the late Placide Gagnon. Regis was a wonderful provider for his family and had worked for several area retail stores, retiring from Carl Company as the store manager. More recently he worked for Hertz, a job he greatly enjoyed. Regis liked golfing, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and always meticulously maintained his property.
He is survived by his beloved wife Nancy, cherished daughter Jennifer, his mother Cecile, siblings: Placide "Pop" (Colette) Gagnon, Eunice Gagnon, Marie Wagner, Roger (Joan) Gagnon, David (Joannie) Gagnon, Prisca (Dave) Thomson, Celeste Whitcomb and Greg Gagnon; many nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors: Pat, Judi, Meaghan and Ryan Fox; and his two favorite feline friends Simba and Sergio.
Funeral services will be Monday 10:00am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden.
