Reinhold H. Forkel Jr.

COLONIE – Reinhold H. Forkel Jr., 69, of Colonie, passed away on Tuesday December 7, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Albany and is the son of Mildred Gibson Forkel and the late Reinhold H. Forkel Sr Reinhold was a 1959 graduate of Colonie Central High School and served in the US Army. He was employed for over thirty years with Plumbers & Steamfitters Local #7 and also as Construction Superintendent with CN Flagg Co. Reinhold enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and boating. He cherished his time with his four girls and their families.
Reinhold is the beloved father of Donna (Nicholas) Robilotti, Cynthia (Darren) Schaperjahn, Darlene (Michael) Farron and Michelle (Clyde) Starkey. He is the longtime companion of Margaret Koerner. He is the brother of Frieda Laganiere, John, Gustav and George Forkel and Deborah Cummins. He is the cherished grandfather of Ashlee, Vitalo, Meghon, Reinhold, Brittany, Danielle, Michael and Morgan. He is the great grandfather of Salvatore. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, 43, New Scotland Ave. Albany NY 12208 in memory of Reinhold H.
