Albany - Renada Renee Morris, 42, passed away on May 31, 2024. Renada "Nada (Boo)" was born on November 20,1981 in Catskill, NY to Cornell and Tanya Morris.

Nada attended Hackett Middle School, Albany High School, and graduated from Bishop Maginn High School. She later earned her Bachelor's degree from SUNY Albany. Nada loved sports, especially basketball, and often reminisced about her playing days at Bishop Maginn. She loved music, “even though she couldn’t dance.” Nada was fun-loving, always the life of the party, and enjoyed making others laugh. She cherished spending time with close family and friends, especially sharing in good food together. She also found joy in outdoor activities such as boating, traveling, and motorcycle rides.

Nada gave her all to her loved ones and fiercely defended them. She was also incredibly supportive and always encouraging, with a huge heart and a gift of kindness. Nada was the type of person that if she had something, you had it too—no questions asked. She made people feel comfortable to be their unique selves, creating an environment of warmth and acceptance around her.

She had a brilliant mind, always eager to learn and explore new ideas. Known for speaking her mind, Nada was never afraid to share her thoughts and opinions, which were often insightful and thought-provoking. Her talent for writing was exceptional; she could articulate her thoughts with clarity and elegance, captivating her readers with her words. Nada’s ability to express herself both verbally and in writing was admirable.

Nada shared a close-knit relationship with her mother, Tanya. They were not just mother and daughter, but more like best friends who supported and uplifted each other through all of life’s challenges and joys.

Renada is predeceased by her maternal grandparents Elizabeth and Daniel Swain, paternal grandfather Henry C. Morris, and Uncle Eric Swain.

She is survived by her Parents, Tanya Morris (William Hughes Jr.) and Cornell A. Morris; Siblings Christopher Morris, Christian Morris, and Sha-pharah Bynum (Biz); grandmother Ida Johnson; aunts Sharon, Linda, and Angie Morris; uncles Mark (Dot) Swain, Derick, and Keith Morris; Godparents Star Smith (Deryk); Godbrothers DJ Smith and Elijah Harris, RJ Johnson; Godsister Lexi Smith; and Goddaughter Egypt Snipe.

Although not their biological mother, Renada’s “children” include Christian, Mary, Geneva, Annisah, Jamel, Jordyn, Miranda, Andrew, Desiree, Antonio, Jandan, Eric, and Kingston. She nurtured and cared for them as her own, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends who were like family, all of whom will miss her dearly.
