SARATOGA - Rev. Bryson M. Smith, 94, passed away on October 21, 2012 following a brief illness.
Born in Campbell's Bay, QC Canada on March 2, 1918, he was predeceased in January 2012 by Melba, his wife of 65 years; his parents Howard and Grace Smith and brothers Russell and Donald.
Bryson is survived by his brother Gerald; children Paula, John, Joanne (Frank Scanlon) and granddaughter Lauren Scanlon.
A graduate of McGill University in Montreal, QC and Emmanuel College in Toronto, ON., Rev. Smith served churches in Pincer Creek, Fishburne and Cadomio AB as well as United Methodist Churches in the former Troy Conference including Lyndonville, Lyndon, Bradford, Waits River, Newport Center and Newport, VT, and Nassau, Brainard, Castleton, Slingerlands, Malta Ridge, NY. He served as a District Superintendent for 6 years.
Services of Thanksgiving and Celebration will be held at 4 pm Nov. 17, at the Saratoga Springs UMC, 175 Fifth Ave. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866
